Eureka Casino Resort
Founded in 2012, the Eureka Community Initiative is a partnership between The Eureka Casino Resort and residents and business owners of Mesquite, Nevada and the surrounding area.
The partnership was created to unite people with a passion for their community and to develop new ideas to improve the quality of life throughout the region.
Recent efforts include:
The Eureka Community Initiative in 2013 purchased over 30 instruments to allow Charles Arthur Hughes Middle School the ability to have brand new instruments for their orchestra and band classes. This donation increased the total number of students able to participate and is hopefully fostering a love of music and the arts that will last a lifetime.
In consultation with local residents and businesses, the Eureka Community Initiative creates and implements local events that showcase the Mesquite resort community.
Our first event, the Mesquite Off-Road Weekend, took place in February 2013. Five thousand spectators watched the Nitro Circus motocross stunt team compete in a series of “Beyond Pro” Enduro-X races. The accompanying Off-Road Trail Rides program allowed visitors to explore the beauty of the Red Mesa while riding their very own ATV’s and OHV’s.
The second Mesquite Off-Road Weekend in February 2014 where an enthusiastic and engaged crowd watched the Enduro-X races, the “Beyond Pro” Enduro-X race as well as a stunt show from “Cowboy” Kenny Bartam and his Steel Rodeo and the opening of the new Awesome Adventure Park. Mud bogs were added to the program on Sunday.

Ever want to fly down a zip line or ride a rally car? Maybe your child wants to try her hand at archery or paintball? The newly opened Awesome Adventure Park is the brainchild of two local businessmen who saw an underserved market and sought funding from the Eureka Community Initiative to help make their dream a reality.
Since serving its very first plate in February 2011, the Eureka Community Pasta Garden has gathered at Eureka’s Town Square Restaurant on Thursday nights to raise money for local Mesquite groups and charities. To date, the Initiative has raised over $25,000 and donated over $25,000 to local charities.
