Job Summary - Provide customer service by greeting and seating guests. Receive payment from dining quests.
Duties & Responsibilities - Control restaurant occupancy flow; make table-station assignments; distribute menus and describe daily specials; answer telephone and assist caller; count and balance cash drawer; perform cash register transactions including cash, credit card, and coupons; distribute proper change to customer; notify manager of any dining room problems remain aware of level of service being provided by servers and server assistants, and assist where necessary; other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills required; ability to use telephone, calculator, and cash register and perform basic math functions; accurate money changing skills; ability to lift up to 30 pounds; work in an area with food smells, varying noise levels, carpeted and hard surface floors, and varying temperatures; good hand to eye dexterity; requires the ability to follow directions from a supervisor; requires dependable attendance and the ability to appear for work on time; requires the ability to follow directions; requires the ability to interact effectively with co-workers; requires the ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures; requires the ability to accept constructive criticism. |
